About Us
Starting as a retail shop in Abergavenny’s main street in 1960, Vin Sullivan became widely renowned for supplying fresh fish, game and poultry. With a vastly expanding portfolio of products, Vin Sullivan also expanded to include wholesale and distribution from factory units, and in 2008 the shop moved to join the foodservice factory outlet in Blaenavon.
Vin Sullivan provides chefs across the UK and beyond with a wide selection of fine food ingredients, covering 20 different food categories and containing over 4,000 products in our range.
We constantly received requests from retail customers to supply our seafood and extended range of high quality and unusual products to home shoppers, we developed a retail brand. With our background and heritage in fish, we developed a brand call Fish Shack.

Fish Shack was created with a simple concept – deliver the freshest fish and shellfish from across the UK prepared by an awarding winning team of fishmongers. Starting out as one shop, we added the mobile fishmonger and now offering an online service.
We take great pride in the products we source, prepare and deliver, to ensure great quality seafood makes it to your dinner table!
We are proud that our team members consist of multiple award winners including a two time British Fish Craft Champion – and our General Manager is one of the first people in the UK to be awarded Master Fishmonger status by the Fishmongers Company and the first ever in Wales.
